Shell Lace Boot Cuffs

Now that it seems inevitable that we're going to be hit with a blizzard this weekend, our family is preparing to hunker down for a few days. Apparently when our neighborhood was hit with the blizzard of 2010, it was four days before our street was plowed (this was the year before we moved in, so this is what I'm hearing from our neighbors).

So I have one more pattern to share with you before the storm hits, and like the Cap from St. Nicholas, it only uses one skein of yarn, so you should be able to make it from your stash without having to brave the elements for craft supplies.

This pattern was inspired by my friend Teressa from Closet Prep & Paint, who wanted a set of boot cuffs for her daughter.

Boot cuffs have been all the rage lately as they create a cute little decoration just above the boot, and they can be made in multiple colors to match any outfit. I've been wanting to make some for some time now, so Teressa's request was the perfect opportunity to do so.

As you can see, they only cover the top of the calf, so it doesn't get too crowded in your boots.
